Pastoral Project - B 3 C

Kulturelt Initiativ was asked to join the project in 2017, and is a Member of Beethoven Pastoral Project. Our main logo, which is based on the statement To be – or not to be, also relates quite easily to the challenges we face regarding the possibility of preserving mankind’s only home: The Earth! We only have this one planet, so it is of great urgency that we all take responsibility for creating a sustainable environment for the future.

The younger generation is nowadays really concerned and engaged in environmental matters. To connect this enthusiasm with Beethoven’s music sounded as a good idea. So we invited upper secondary schools, cultural schools, youth bands and choirs to join us in B 3 C: Climate – Culture – Creativity! Youths are invited to make appeals, play Beethoven’s music or make their own arrangements on his themes, dance to his music and tie it up to literature and drama. In the extension of the World Environmental Day children and the youth are invited to an environmental walk on the 6th of June to four unique symbolic places that focus on:

The future – the sculpture Mother with her newborn child in the Town Park

The youth – the sculpture We are a part of the nation – even if we’re small, Market Place

Global warming – the Antarctic monument, Thor Dahls gate

Pollution of the ocean – the sculpture of Poseidon in Badeparken
